Here's the first efforts of Les as conductor and producer. I'm going to upload all the albums I have in chronological order and hope that some kind collector can fill in the gaps. Typical late 40s orchestral sounds augmented with Dr Hoffman's fine theremin playing.
All three albums in one file. 96kps mono (equiv 192kps stereo).

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I've often read about these, and now I can finally hear what these sound like.

Amen! What a joy this is to find! I've had "Music Out of the Moon" for awhile, but the other two have been incredibly elusive. Many, many thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks very much for sharing these.
ReplyDeleteHi, This is great! Thank you very much.
ReplyDeleteI'm also very curious about The Acadamy Award Winners.
But every Les is very good

This is great. I had Music out of the moon, but the other two are new to me. I think I like Perfume Set To Music even more than Music out of the moon. Of course Music for oeace of mind is Billy May, not Baxter, but I still thought it was great listening. Thanks for these!

I have a CD box set of these, it came with mini album sleeves for each disc. In case anyone is looking for a nicely packaged reissue you can still get them on Amazon.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your amazing Baxter posts! I have been on here all month finding LPs I have always wanted.
